removing old JAWS

Dear Cy,
I called Scientific technical Support, once and they told me that it was not a
good idea to install older versions of JAWS with newer versions installed
already, thus I only have JAWS 11 on my machine since I had to reinstall
Windows, and it wiped out everything on my System's drive clean.
So, I would think twice about getting rid of at least one other version of
JAWS, as you might not be able to put it back on and have all work successfully.

I was disappointed after installing JAWS 11, they told me not to install JAWS
10.
I should have simply installed JAWS 10 first, then JAWS 11, that would have
been fine.
Stupid me as usual!

Just 2 cents for thought.

With Best Regards,
Alan

Well, you said it's an old Dell, so I'm going to assume you're running
Windows XP. If so:

Go to Start menu by pressing the Windows key. Select Settings and press enter.
Select Control Panel and press Enter.
Select Add Or Remove Programs and press Enter.
When the list comes up, select the Freedom Scientific version you want to
remove.

Make sure you tab to the place where it says remove shared components, and
make sure the button is not, I repeat NOT checked.
After you make sure of this, tab to the remove button and press enter.

At this point, you may or may not have to tab again to an uninstall button.
If the installation procedure doesn't start, do this, tabbing to the uninstall
button and press enter.

For any other versions of JAWS you want to remove, press Enter.

I always keep two versions of JAWS on my computer at one time in case one of
them becomes broken, or in case it is a version with a bug of some sort that
you want to work around with the other version of JAWS.

  HTH.

    Hi all,

I have a severe disk space problem on my old Del and I noticed that I have
JAWS 8, 9, 10 and 11 on it.

How do I go about removing the old versions of JAWS without destroying
everything needed for 11?

    Thanks,

    Cy, The Anasazi
