Jim, I listened to the garbled numbers and though the picture wanted six
characters, there were more than six in that garbled message. How does one
get six out of more numbers than that--ten, I believe?

Rosemarie, try this. I am saying this, knowing that there are folks here who
will jump on me for this, but it might work, and if it doesn't, they will
tell you what to do. I think you have to get a passport, I did, and I
listened to the garbled characters under the graphic and typed them on. You
can hear the garbled stuff as much as you need, and if it would help you
understand them, you can record them and play them back at slow speed till
you get them. However, try this. Open up Windows messenger and it will say
log on window. Then hit alt F and see if you can arrow down to make it say,
sign in as, and if it does, type in your email address. Then it will ask for
a pass word. You don't have one, so you will have to get one by listening to
the garbled stuff I am almost sure. Come on, I did it, so you can. Big
smile.

Hi, Jim. I have windows messenger. I wanted to use it but I understand you
have to have a passport. I tried to sign up for one and had such a hard
time with it. When I wrote to microsoft, they weren't the least bit helpful
at all. I even wrote to the passport team and they weren't helpful either.
A lot of my friends use windows messenger or msn. I tried to use msn
messenger but I had to end up uninstalling it because it didn't work well
with Jaws at all. Thething I didn't like about the passport thing is that
you have to type in a bunch of garbled characters as well as characters in a
picture. Is there an easier way I could use windows messenger other than
getting a hotmail account? I heard that signing up for a hotmail account
isn't the easiest thing to do either. That's why I signed up and got yahoo
messenger.
Rosemarie
