outlook express and windows messenger

There use to be a place in outlook express options where you could check or
uncheck "log on to windows messenger". It is gone. I can't find it Also will
people who have experience with windows messenger and msn messenger write me
off list to give me an opinion on which is better with jaws 7?thanks
