Well then you might have a different keyboard from mine. You followed my
directions correctly.

Nicole,
I just tried to do what you suggestbelow, even though, as someone who's
typed since I was in high school many years ago, I knew what would
happen.
Generally, to press the left alt key, I remove my fingers from the home
row,
reach down with my left index finger to find the space bar, then slide
that
finger to the left over the break to find the Alt key and press it.
There is
absolutely no way I can contort my left hand so that, from the home
position, I can find and press the left alt key with my left pinkie. In
fact, I couldn't even find and press the left *control* key, far to the
left
of the alt key instead of underneath as the Alt key is. And then to
press
the S key as usual, with the left ring finger? This is a contortion I'd
be
amazed to see anyone accomplish. Maybe I haven't understood your
directions
correctly? In any case, since I adjusted things in keyboard manager,
I've
got a keystroke I can perform, and so all's well.--
