Maybe it was the Wizard of OZ? I also get these strange bubble messages when I boot up my computer. Most of the time, I get a message like, "Your computer may be at risk. No firewall is turned on", which disappears immediately before I can take any action. Of course, my Windows Firewall is always turned on, so this message is probably nothing more than a bogus bubble issued by the gremlins lurking inside my tower, designed for my befuddlement. Unless you start seeing some real bubbles pouring out of your computer like on the set of the Lawrence Welk show, you probably have nothing to worry about.

Me, too. this very morning, when I had just booted up and launched OutlookExpress to check my email, I heard Jaws say "to start the Wizard, click on this bubble." I'm wondering, what Wizard? What would it download and/ or install if I were to click on it? is this vital, or at least harmless? I can't find the bubble. Could I find it if I switched to the Jaws cursor? Maybe if I press Windows M and go again to the Desktop I'll find it there, still showing? Maybe it's added itself as an icon to my system tray, justwaiting for me to click on it? Like a Windows update notification? What am Imissing? Needless to say, none of this worked, and the bubble episode, not my firstand surely not my last experience of this sort, was gone forever. I'm still wondering what that was all about, and if there's some way, if only I knew, how to review and find what it is that wants to be downloaded? But I'm stymied.Original Message ----- From: "Parham Doustdar" <parham90@xxxxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, April 18, 2009 3:24 AM Subject: Re: information bubbles and jaws?I haven't heard anything about it, although it would be cool to have such athing. --- Contact info: Skype: parham-d MSN: fire_lizard16 at hotmail dot com email: parham90 at GMail dot com----- Original Message ----- From: "CrisMunoz54" <crismunoz54@xxxxxxxxx>To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, April 18, 2009 9:03 AM Subject: information bubbles and jaws?Hello list, Is there a jaws command to repeat the information bubbles that windows fromtime to time announces? I ask because, sometimes, jaws will randomly speakthese bubbles and either the message gets cut off by a key stroke or jaws beginning to read some other information. I looked in the jaws help files and really didn't come across anything. I know you can disable thesebubbles, but I'd prefer not to. I just want to be able to have jaws repeatthem should I have the need to hear them again.
