I'm sorry, but I can't figure out what you mean. When I go to the site,
using the link in the email you get after sending the subscribe email, I'm
taken to the group's site and Yahoo greets me by my User Id, and tells me
that my existing user profile will be associated with this new group
membership unless I wish to revise it.
Then come the usual things about choosing which email address to receive
posts at, digest form or individual messages, etc., and after all those
items, the graphical thing. I'm not sure what you mean I could do by
creating a profile,as I already have one anyway.

Hi
You can join a yahoo group without going to the website. After you have
joined through the E-Mail route, you can go into the web page and add your
profile. This way you avoid the visual verification.
