Well, I do think JAWS will just run in 40 minute mode rather than just plain refuse to run.

Hi Kim and others,This is due to JAWS checking operating system descriptors under Windows. Ifit detects that you are running a version of JAWS Standard under a Pro version of JAWS, then it will refuse to run it due to operating system descriptors. Cheers, Joseph P.S. To update the Jaws license key so that the computer will run XP Pro cost me $200. As for why Jaws can't run on proeditions without this extra cost... I wish I knew.
