Ray,
I first noticed the problem with the TV listings pages on Zap2it and Yahoo, but
since they require some setup to get a long listing, here is another site that
exhibits the problem for me.

www.abcnews.com

It currently has over 400 links, and it is the kind of large page that I'm
talking about. Search for the word privacy which is near the bottom of the
page.

Through further testing, I have found that I can get the Virtual Cursor back by
pressing Tab as well as clicking on the page. If I then go back to the top of
the page and press F3, I will find what I'm searching for. So it seems to be
just the Virtual Find dialog that doesn't work.

I will admit to being one of those that Eric and Jonathan talked about in the
FSCast who still uses Internet Explorer 6. I plan to install 8 as soon as I
make a little more space on my C drive and defrag it. I hope I don't regret
upgrading browsers. I have seen some sites though that say they no longer
support Internet Explorer 6.

Want to give us an example page so we can test it? I'm running JAWS 11 beta
myself.

Also, you'll recall the beta report form.

Has anyone else had a problem with Virtual Find with the Beta when using
Internet Explorer? This seems to happen mostly on large web pages. I press
Control+f, and JFW speaks virtual find. I key in what I want to find and press
Enter. Most of the time JFW then goes silent, but occasionally it speaks some
text from somewhere on the page. When I press plus on the keypad to check
which cursor mode I'm in, JFW speaks PC Cursor instead of Virtual Cursor.
Toggling the cursor mode with JAWS Key+z doesn't help. I can only get the
Virtual Cursor back by clicking somewhere on the page in text that is not a
link. I haven't yet made this happen when using Firefox.
