This is about right, but with my previous version of Jaws, it pretty much
started, right after the Windows Start-up sound.

About how long does it take? I just got a laptop back in February and
have
only run Jaws 6.0 on it, but it seems to take as long as a minute for Jaws
to start speaking after I hear the Windows startup sound.

when I'm starting it up than it did, when I was using JFW 4.5. Does
