Dave and Bill,
I agree with Dave in that I have been using MS Office since about 93. My
switch to Office was also traumatic as I was a Mac/WordPerfect user and
thought MS Word was about as clumsy as MS could have made it.
I am contemplating a new laptop and have a real quandry.
I have just purchased a new SMA which should take me through JAWS 13 and,
hopefully, this is the last SMA I will ever purchase. (LOLLOLLOL)
Wonder if I can use Office 2003 with Winders 7? I am blamed sure *not* going
to use Vista.
I am also going to try to get real used to NVDA for the most of my work.
For what I really do on the computer NVDA might just work.
Any thoughts?
Oh, by the way, I am 68.

Bill,

I know your pain -- I've been using MS-Word even longer than that, so the
crossover was initially painful. And you're just a bit older than my son, so

talk about being set in my ways...

I also considered the add-on menu tool for a while, but heard (did not
experience) that they are not easy to use, like real menus. Perhaps someone
on this list can chime in.

"Don't spend a lot of time complaining about things that aren't going to
change anyway" is obviously a wise bit of advice. But throw me a bone here,
people. A guy gets to kvetch just a little bit before giving in, doesnt he?

I'll definitely look up the FS training module you mention: thanks.
