Richard,
maybe you're not clear about what you're encountering when you press that
hotkey and hear that you're on My Computer. This command opens to that for
me, too, using these display settings, whatever that implies. But I don't
see why you have to use all these commands you're describing. All I do is
arrow down quickly past the A drive (the 3 1/2-inch diskette drive) to drive
C. If it says it's open, I simply arrow down to the folder I wish to go
into, or press the initial letter of the folder's name if I feel like doing
it that way.

What you may not be aware of is that when Windows Explorer opens this way,
it's still Windows Explorer. You aren't in the My Computer environment. In
other words, directly below where your focus starts is the A drive, then the
C drive, then all the folders in the C drive, and beneath that are the other
drives and functions which you can explore by arrowing down to the end of
the alphabetical list of folders in the C drive.

Also, this is just the left-hand pane, the folder tree list. If you simply
go down to any folder and press the Tab key, you'll land in the files list
view of that folder. To get back to the tree list, you Shift Tab or, if you
forget and just hit tab, you'll go through the Tool Bar and then back to the
tree list of folders. It's really normal. No special menus or anything
required.

Sorry if I've misunderstood what you described. Hope this is helpful.

Hi, Chris, I am using Bliss as you suggested in your Seettings e-mail. No
problems. Except, when I invoke Windows Explorer with Windows Key E,
behavior is quite different. It comes up as if I had opened My Computer. I
move to Folder View as I used to do, but after going down to Drive C, for
example, I have to use F10 or the Application Key to open the drive.
Previously, I just switched to folder view, arrowed down to drive C and hit
enter to open the drive.
