Many possibilities for this condition.
Too many apps loading at startup.
Too many services running at startup.
Too many apps open during normal operation.
Spy-ware, or other mal-ware on the system.
Not enough resources for the apps being run.
Memorey leakage.
A cluttered hard drive.
Lack of system maintenance.
The list can go on, but all of these things need to be considered.

Hello

If you have spyware on your computer, this can also very possibly slow down
your computer, spyware files are quite a nuisance that sneak onto your
computer possibly from time to time when you are on the internet. To do a
check on your computer for spyware and also get rid of any spyware on your
computer, use a program called spybot search and destroy. I believe you
can download a free copy of this program from the JFW lite web site. Sorry
off the top of my head, I don't know the web address for the JFW lite web
site. Hope this helps. Good luck in getting your computer to work faster.

Take care

Well, it's no secret JFW can at times be resource intensive. But,
somehow, I doubt the performance hit you take running it will be very
much different from if you didn't have it running. Particularly on
today's computers. I've run several processes I know full well are
more resource intensive than JFW, and this computer's nothing
special, but it was still fairly fast all things considered.
