When mine seems to be getting a little slow I get rid of all the junk I have
collected, cookies temporary Internet files,dump the recycle bin, etc and
run defrag and scan disk and it seems to speed back up.

What else could cause computers to be slow? I have alot of memory and ram so It should not be slow but it is.

Well, it's no secret JFW can at times be resource intensive. But, somehow, I doubt the performance hit you take running it will be very much different from if you didn't have it running. Particularly on today's computers. I've run several processes I know full well are more resource intensive than JFW, and this computer's nothing special, but it was still fairly fast all things considered.
