You would need an OCR program to recognize the PDF document. Both OpenBook
and Kurzweil 1000 support PDF files, and you can even "print" to those
programs so that it recognizes and displays the recognized text
automatically.

Subject: Adobe Reader Saying Empty Document

Hello,

I received a PDF document from my doctor's office and when I opened it,
was told it was an empty document and Jaws could not read it.

I remember we had a discussion about this at one point but cannot recall
what was said. Can someone tell me how I can read this document using Jaws?

I am using XP Home and Jaws 9.
