Hi Dan,
I think what Francis means is how you identify a CD AFTER it
has been recorded. CDs do come in various flavours when
recorded. Audio, Data, and Mixed Mode, to name but three.

I want to identify audio cds as from the shop so that before I record on
them I know the type as they won't all play on older cd players.
