Mandy, I assume you want to 'view' messages in plain text rather than to change the format of the message -----Original Message-----you send? In which case: 1.Press 'alt' and the 'f' key and the 'file' menu will open; 2. Cursor down until you get to 'options' and press 'enter'; 3. In the dialog that opens, cursor down until you get to 'trust centre'; 4. Tab to 'trust centre settings' and press enter; 5. In the dialog that opens, cursor up to 'email security'; 6. Tab to 'Read all standard mail in plain text' and check this box; 7. Click 'OK' and 'OK' again in the next dialog to close the options window; 8. Close Outlook and restart it again. The settings should now be in effect. Remember, Office 2007 and 2010 use MS Word to open email messages, so, if you receive an html message from, say, a company it will no doubt be formatted in html which Word doesn't handle to well. The upshot is that you wil tend to get http:// links throughout the message. Other times the messages from people with html set as their message format will display as blank. JAWS 14 resolves some of these issues, so you may not experience them. Cheers. John.
