Clive,

Indeed it has and what you say is great news. I'll look into the other
software as an extra precaution as well.

Thanks again,

Jamie

Hi Jamie,

Your understanding is perfectly correct NOD32 does deal with
spyware/adware/malware and does it pretty well!

I quite agree with you about its superior performance and not just in
respect of Norton: I've used a fair few anti-virus progs over the years
and NOD32 is out there in a class of its own.

Having said that I would still want to cover myself with a good Firewall
plus applications that were specifically designed to deal with
spyware/adware/malware. It is of course possible that they will have
nothing to do because NOD32 and the Firewall are covering most
eventualities but there still the odd few items that get past and
require the likes of ADAWARE or SPYBOT to deal with them. Adding a
programme called SPYWAREBLASTER to your armoury is a good move since it
runs in the background and actively blocks many forms of
spyware/adware/malware from getting onto your machine in the first
place. As a consequence, of adding this programme to my armoury, I have
not had a single infiltration of spyware/adware/malware for over two
years now even though I still check fairly regularly with ADAWARE and
SPYBOT to make sure.

Hope this has helped to clear the NOD32 issue up a little.

Cheers,

Clive.S
