Subject: [jaws-uk] FS Reader

Hi there,

Previously I've not bothered to try to use FS Reader but would now like to
use it more because it claims that, for Jaws 11 onwards, it can play other
DAISY books beyond the Jaws training materials.

I've been trying to use it and can only list the text of full text DAISY
titles but can't get any of the audio, either from the Jaws training
materials or from other DAISY books.

Has anyone any magic tips on how to get FS Reader to speak the recorded
audio? There doesn't even appear to be any controls in the programme for
controlling the volume and so on.

Perhaps my understanding of what FS Reader is supposed to do is completely
wrong but I had thought it was supposed to be a fully functioning DAISY
player for Jaws 11 onwards.

Any thoughts?

Jamie
