Hi Harry I agree with Pranav's diagnosis. I am not quite sure why you would be unplugging the headset with Dragon running. When you are using jaws and Dragon, the sound source inside the headset is being asked to do a tremendous amount of work and in addition as Pranav has said Dragon will be expecting that sound source to be present since that is the sound source you have used to create the profile. That is not a sentence I like because sound source has been mentioned three times, but there you are. You can exit Dragon by pressing control shift F12, arrowing up to exit, and pressing Enter, if you wish. -----Original Message----- From: j-say-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:j-say-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Pranav Lal Sent: 02 July 2011 18:43 To: j-say@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [j-say list] Re: this is getting weirder by the minute! Harry, Do not unplug the headset with dragon launched. I suspect dragon is expecting the headset to be present and the sudden change in the sound source confuses things. Hi all, well, this is the latest. When I plug in the USB headset, without Dragon launched, and I unplug the USB headset, the speech is just fine on my speakers. However, if I launched Dragon to use j-say, and I unplug the USB headset, I get no speech. So, what do you all think about that one? Harry
