Hi everyone I don't understand then why the CDs that the person I am working with all say J-Say Professional version 7. We could not find out how to check the version on his actual machine and he lives four hours drive away so I will have to wait until I go again to clarify things. Where do I go to find out what version he had then? Strange that the CDs say version 7 though. Cheers Paula. -----Original Message----- From: j-say-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:j-say-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Pranav Lal Sent: Friday, 30 November 2007 12:13 a.m. To: j-say@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [j-say list] Re: Microphone issues The latest version of J-say is 5.02. -----Original Message----- From: j-say-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:j-say-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Arne Gilbakken Sent: Thursday, November 29, 2007 2:04 PM To: j-say@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [j-say list] Re: Microphone issues Hello Paula, are you shure the J-say is version 7? I read on TandT info page that their current version is version 5? Have you checked the mic adjustments in the controll panel? It worked for a while but now we have some issues. The person is using Jaws 7.0, J-Say pro version 7 and Dragon pro 8. He has XP with Service Pack 2. The microphone does not seem to be feeding through information. It shows visually that it is working once we added boost but the test said we should hear something back through the speakers or headphones but this does not happen. Any ideas on what might be wrong? Everything appears to be plugged in correctly. Even when we managed to wake up the microphone by using a mouse it did not respond to any voice commands. I am new at seeing the system running so am not sure how to rectify the situation. I know the person tried upgrading to Jaws 8 which was unsuccessful so they went back to 7 and could this have caused an issue? Cheers Paula.
