Hi Pranav I don't know what the sound card is so will find out. The headset is one I had not seen before. It has Parrott written on it with the address www.vxicorp.Com. I wondered if this was the problem but as I say, it did work for a time. Cheers Paula. -----Original Message----- From: j-say-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:j-say-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Pranav Lal Sent: Thursday, 29 November 2007 1:37 p.m. To: j-say@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [j-say list] Re: Microphone issues Paula, What microphone and sound card is your client using? See my response to Arne for details. It worked for a while but now we have some issues. The person is using Jaws 7.0, J-Say pro version 7 and Dragon pro 8. He has XP with Service Pack 2. The microphone does not seem to be feeding through information. It shows visually that it is working once we added boost but the test said we should hear something back through the speakers or headphones but this does not happen. Any ideas on what might be wrong? Everything appears to be plugged in correctly. Even when we managed to wake up the microphone by using a mouse it did not respond to any voice commands. I am new at seeing the system running so am not sure how to rectify the situation. I know the person tried upgrading to Jaws 8 which was unsuccessful so they went back to 7 and could this have caused an issue? Cheers Paula.
