Not as a simple 3 button mouse. We have been looking for an Optical 3 button
mouse ever since Optical mice came out and never yet found one, they all
have a scroll wheel.
We do some 5 button Optical Mice where there are buttons on the sides (under
the thumb and small finger) on some of these the thumb button is by default
a duplicate of the scroll wheel button i.e. 'Menu'
On some other mice extra buttons can be confgured as 'menu' usin HID!

We also do a 'battery free' mouse that sits on a special pad that has a wide
flat menu wheel.

Whilst at first using the scroll wheel as a menu button doesn't feel ideal
many users say they quickly get used to it.

As direct connection compatibility can change with camera firmware versions
it is almost impossible to be sure which cameras will work.
Using a card reader is a very effective quaranteed way round this.
