[Ilugc] swap needed or not ?

AFAIK, not required. Linux kernel memory management is
pretty good. You can create one if you want to.
does the thumb rule of 2 x PhysicalRam hold true
here also ?
Nope. It was only applicable for very, very old
hardware.
