Hi all,
I have seen ads of all Desktop/Notebook manufacturers from Dell to
Leneova, which only recommends XP inspite of it being more vulnerable
to attacks. Why can't they recommend GNU/Linux or BSD's which is more
stable and trouble free? Is that M$ is paying the manufacturers for
putting the caption
"XYZ recommends Windows XP"
Because M$ pays $$$ for doing it
regds,

How can this be prevented?
This doesn't stop here, but Microsoft is much more bad than you might think.
IIRC if the manufacturer pre-installs any other OS alongside of Windows,
only Windows should be bootable by default, the other OS should be
bootable only by alternate means, say a floppy or CD etc.
This approach is one of the primary reasons for the death of Be Inc and
some others IMO.
I believe this cannot be prevented.
