In Debian, I can use any of the keyboard layouts,
unicode/TSCII/TAB. In simple words, a keyboard layout
is a key-to-character mapping.
Shakti: A keyboard layout is the way the keys are distributed on a
keyboard. The standard ones you see, QWERTY, is probably the most
popular one too (though I have seen some AZERTY/QWERTZ keyboards here
in Europe). Unicode or TSCII are NOT keyboard layouts.
