probably OT but how would you categorise input methods then? as a
keyboard layout? I am referring to phonetic translation schemes like SCIM.
So I hope you understand what I mean by keyboard layouts. With this contect,
please let us know what tamil keyboard layouts are supported in Ubuntu.
(Will a person trained in typewriter institute to type tamil able to type
tamil in the same way in Ubuntu)
I am on dapper. Keyboard preferences let me add layouts for "Tamil",
"Tamil TAB Typewriter", "Tamil TSCII Typewriter", "Tamil Unicode".
I hope that helps. But from what you said, Unicode shouldn't figure in
that list should it? Its after all an encoding standard not a layout.
