OSS
would have helped you here?
Like Eric S Raymond says, OSS is a lot
about
scratching someone's itch . In your case, unless someone found the
software you were working on cool interesting, you would be pretty
much
be on your own. Just look at the number of dead projects on
Sourceforge.
But the focal point of the community namely .net is not owned by theawayDo not get carried away by company owned product, better carried
by community owned software, after all you are also owner of it.
That's the very point I'm trying to make here. There's a huge .NET
community (and especially here in Chennai). Basically, I know tons
of
people who live,eat and sleep .NET..and who love to help out other
folks. You don't need OSS to have a great community....:-)
