Its possible to develop free software (free as in freedom) and make
money, afterall MySQL, MandrakeSoft, Trolltech and quite a few companies
do this through their dual licensing scheme. Go through their web site
and find out how!
If we take something from the community, we should give something back
in return, thats what the GPL is all about. It enforces it!

I have a doubt, there was a thread some time back which discussed how the
GNU license allows you to sell your software but it should be accompanied
with the source(or provided when requested).
If i write a program and sell it to you for hundred, and you make a
slight change and start selling it for 90(as u have the freedom to), I am
never going to be making any money at all. You might even put it up for
free as you have nothing to loose. What about me!!So how is it ever
possible to develop opensource software and make money.
Please dont reply opensource is not about money!!!!..we need money to
live.
