OK, we heard you the first time (couldn't resist that, Mitch :)
.bsm are "Old style" thermals that only show up as crosshairs on the plane.
They can be drawn with lines, making it possible to do some really weird things
with them :)
The .fsm are the new "wysiwyg" thermals that can only be done with shapes.
These shapes can't have voids. End of weird stuff.
We do a lot of weird stuff, especially when looking at 20 GHz analog signals.
We can't use WYSIWYG, which means we can't do ODB++ which means we don't save
$100 per setup.
Oh, well, maybe some day Cadence will allow us to put voids in the shape, then
we can do weird things and SEE what they look like in
Allegro.............................

It should be whatever FLASH extension your Allegro uses. I can't keep
current with their versions any longer. :)
