I'm in total agreement Farooq. Why should you need more. But, Aegis does have the 'xtrct' script that WILL output a file much like PADS .asc file. Here's the info from Cadence Sourcelink: *Problem Statement: The fabrication shop requires data for input to CircuitCAM. Where can these extract files be located? *Solution: Call AEGIS Corp headquarters at 215-773-3571 and ask for technical support. They will email you the files needed. These are the xtrct files needed to generate a .CAD file. These scripts are used to extract designs from the Cadence-Allegro CAD system. The included Word 97 file "CadenceAllegro.doc" explains the extract procedure. Download File: cadence.exe (31 KB) Double click the downloaded file and select a location for the contents. The file "xtrct.bat" will need the following modification. The line: "ad_extract %1 xtrct.cmd cctemp.tmp &" needs to be modified to: "extract %1 xtrct.cmd cctemp.tmp &" There may also be a Microsoft extract program resident in the Windows search path. If so then the line should be modified to reflect the literal path to the Cadence extract program. For example: "C:\Cadence\PSD_14.0\tools\pcb\bin\extract %1 xtrct.cmd cctemp.tmp &" Note: The bat file uses a sort command and may need to be modified to work correctly on Windows2000. *End Good day. > > Hi Mark, > Why do the Assembly house need .asc file??????? > (snip) > Regards, > Farooq Bhatti > > Design/Engineering Department > Whizz Systems Inc. > 408-980-0400x105 ----------------------------------------- Stay ahead of the information curve.
