[PCB_FORUM] Re: ConceptHDL to Allegro parts placement

Thanks Jim, Richard, William & Lynn,

I got it working: you need to launch both Concept and Allegro from Project
Manager, get in "Select" in Concept, get in Place -> Manually then expand
"Components by refdes" in Allegro, then back in Concept select and highlight
a component then move the cursor back to Allegro to place.

After a bit though, it gave me an application error and blew me out of the
water. I'm thinking maybe it might be easier to place with Quickplace by
schematic page.

Thanks for all the replies!

-> Hey Gary,
->
-> Have you tried:
-> Place>Manually.
-> Select the box next to Components by RefDes.
-> Click on a part in the Concept schematic, move cursor into the Allegro
-> work area and the part should be attached to your cursor.
-> Make sure the component in Concept is highlighted before moving the
-> cursor into the Allegro
-> workarea.
