Dave,

I have always defined my bottom side test vias with a padstack type of
thru or blind/buried then only add the test pad feature to the End Layer
/ Soldermask_Bottom sections in the padstack. Once the padstack is
defined like this it will allow you to assign it as a bottom side test
pad in Test Prep.

Hope this helps,

Gary,

Attempting to define a single layer padstack per your 2nd option ...

Pad_Designer only allows features on "BEGIN LAYER" for a Type Single
padstack - do I need to define the pad as a Type Through and only define
pad shapes on "END LAYER" and "SOLDERMASK BOTTOM"?

Thanks,
Dave
