Hi Josh,
I never heard of dragon unpacker, so I don't know how to use it nor know which
games it works on.

There is already a large amount of maps that cover everything from sci fi like
star wars and command and conquer, to b movie zombie horror to christmas to
robbing artifacts all over the world in tomb robber, as well as fantasy stuff
like kingdom at war _when it gets fixed) red wall abbey and kobold dungeon.

The map creation guide is perhaps your best chance to get a feel for making
maps and figureing out what they do, although I recommend you follow the step
by step instructions featureing Ian's maps and use that to teach you all about
the process. Also,t he list is here for all your questions and everyone is good
at wanting to help.
The more maps , the better, grin.

Yes, there is certain conditions one can put into a map that allows you to
keep a timer, or an escape, or to kill or destroy an enemy and the like.
The tactical battles game engine is really not an RPG engine, so calling it an
RPG is not really correct. It's ultimate goal is to be both a stand alone game,
and to be part of a future release from Ian, the creator of the TB game, as
well as AGE, which will be , I am hoping, the final word on fully customizable
rpg game engine, where plot, action, and all sorts of other stuff will be be
part of it.

My future plans for TTB consisted of a cyberpunk fight, and a port from a game
called warlords. It used to be on the amiga 500 computer system which I miss.
It is called warlords, and it features a combination of fantasy large scale
army struggles as well as , what else? Tactical and strategic combat.

A LOTR map woudl be nice to have, but it is hard to base maps on already
established stories. While building a map pack is not at all difficult, the
real work is int he balancing act, and making sure everything runs according to
what you wanted.

hey why not get dragon-unpacker, then see what games sounds and music it
can unpack, and can you make maps based on star trek voyager, final
fantasy, lord of the rings war of the ring or something like that? With
these maps can you have other characters you have to rescue or that can
appear and go on quests and things? kind of like the entombed audio game?
