Hi all,
I have been working on a map called Dungeon Quest.
It is based on a few fantasy board games I used to play when I was younger and
sighted.
The biggest influence was the one called Dungeon! by tSR, the company that
created the Dungeons and dragon's franchise.

The backstory is this:
A mad wizard was obsessed with portals into other dimensions. So he would open
these portals, kidnap monsters and lock them up in his dungeon, for study
later.
However, as time passed, he became more and more insane with the need to find
one portal in particular. Eventually his efforts were stopped by his own lust
for power, and he perished by his own magics.

The real problem, is that the dungeon is still full of all sorts of portals,
and alot of them are unable to be stopped at all due to forbidding runes. Still
others remain open and have let in elemental monsters of terrible power.
Due to the influx of monsters into the dungeon, they have broken out and wander
the land doing all those monster things that monsters do best.
So, the king had a bright idea. He would hold a contest every year to send
adventurers intot he dungeon to clean house. They could kill and loot to their
hearts desire. The one who comes back with the most gold is given the ultimate
prize. Title, rank and lands.

Therefore the player uses the units available to collect gold and steal all
sorts of magical treasures.

Currently there is no way to officially end the game, the flag would be some
kind of counter which would equal to a number of goldaquired. My very rough
estimate is 10,000 but it might be too much.

Players do not have to fight against each other, they can also assist in
fighting the enemy in a cooperative way.

There is six levels of monsters, plus special elementals, a banshee, a nymph,
and a dragon. The gangrel is a strange fiendthat feeds off of pain.
The level of monsters is color coded:
level 1: red
level 2: purple
level 3: yellow
level4: green
level5: orange
level6: blue

When a monster is killed, your character earns a number of random gold which is
collected automatically. Items have to be taken up the usually way.

The various characters have diffrent weapons that they use exclusively.
warriors/fighters use the longsword
paladins/crusaders use the warhammer
rogues/thiefs use the dagger
the elf uses a bow
the dwarf uses a battleaxe
and the wizard/sorceress uses quaterstaves.

I am letting this out, mostly for help in player suggestions and criticism. I
do plan on an ambush ability to allow players to attack each others gold
supply, and a search skill which would find secret areas, but this hasnt been
implemented yet.
Essentially, I want to find out if it sucks, or is boreing, or stupid, or
whatever.
thanks, the link is below.
