Greetings,
   I lost the thread, but if one obtains an MSWord document from someone
and puts it on your Linux-only machine, is that something that MS might
object to--now or in the future.  Thus, MSWord aware free-ware might be a
problem.  If it produces an MSWord document, it suddenly becomes
license-fodder for MS.
   It continually surprises me.  History would seem to show that people
who make temporary accomodations of convenience with dictatorships, either
governmental or commercial, live to regret it.
