The SWC shutter release is on the top so the left index finger won't work... but... buy the new back. The dark slide holder is well worth 20 Euros! I have one back that came without a darkslide holder. I bought a Lee (I think it's Lee) dark slide holder and put it on the back. The dark slide holder is worth its weight in, well, a lot of lost dark slides. Lose a dark slide and it will be exactly when you want to remove the back from the camera.

A like new A12 from 1989. Both are boxed and cost about the same (the 1989 back is about 20 euros cheaper). I was going to opt for the new back but not sure how much the built in dark slide holder would affect handholdability. Anyone have any feedback?
