Indeed that thing about not using the source makes it incompatible
FreeSoftware.
I wonder if it might not be illegal (or at least void) in some
countries where reverse engineering is allowed for interoperability,
and software patents are illegal (till the, and hopefully for long if
M$ doesn't push them here).
