Maybe you can introduce a setting for the closing-bar to the right, too.
It's not really needed when it's in a notification when it's popped up and
disappears after a few seconds, I'd say.
BTW, this ticket's comment thread gets awfully long. Shouldn't we better
create new tickets for every bug and enhancement?
