i've never heard anything bad about raw hydes before. we r told they r fine just not to give them too offten. it's rare i give callie a raw hyde but when i do she's fine with it. i know lots of guide dog owners who give them to their dogs.

We are told to give ours rawhide chews and I mean the really solid ones not the rolled up strips. Mine's never come to any harm.

I do not give my dogs raw hide bones. I have heard that if your dog eats
them to fast that they can get caught in their insides.
