They probably do know but wouldnt reason it out. Mine touches my hand with her nose to get my attention, but doesnt do it to the rest of the family. My hubby once said when he took my Border Collie for a walk, and that wasnt often she never stayed that close to him, but she would never go far from me, I think its the same with Wren too. But that might be more to do with the fact that I'm her handler, her pack leader.

I do think my dog knows that there is something different about me.  I am
not sure he thinks, hay, she can't see, but he is more careful with me than
he is with my grandson or another sighted person.
