Subject: [guide.chat] My Day
Good Evening all. I had a lovely time at blind club as always although shame no
luck on the dominoes and raffle this time not good but it's always the taking
part and having fun that counts of course. We had sponge cake with icing on
with a cuppa for 2 ladies birthdays and we sang happy birthday to them. Shame
not chocolate cake but we did get some chocolate biscuits so got some chocolate
fix. Sarah and her carer Karen were there they sat near me as always how cool.
I had one of the helpers Barbara sat with me too she's lovely. We were all
talking about how Sarah and Karen get out such a lot and how I don't get out
much now so Barbara and Karen got talking and they both asked me if I would
like to go out the odd times with Barbara and we meet up with Sarah and Karen
and we all go for a walk and lunch somewhere and I jumped at the chance how
lovely of them. We going to do a trial run on my next free week when there's no
blind clubs. Barbara took my phone number so we can arrange it so I look
forward to that. Also Sarah and Karen go to the theatre a lot so Barbara said
we will try to get to a few shows with them how cool I will love that for sure.
Barbara's very happy to take me out on a voluntary basis so shows how lovely
and special she is as it's not often people will do something like that without
being paid these days. She's one of our newest helpers at the club and was the
one who took me around the garden centre on a 1 to 1 basis before we had our
afternoon tea I have always liked her. When I told my parents they were so
happy for me. I told Barbara I love to go tenpin bowling and Sarah and Karen
love doing that too so that will be so cool if we get to do that as not been
for ages. Well we will see how our first outing goes I can't wait. The more I
get out the better so I'm not going to refuse any invitations now. Well for tea
it was meat pie and that yummy aero mousse and more later so that all important
chocolate fix in a big way. Well home and away's on so chat again later. Hope
