Hi, I just did a little experiment with SharpEye comparing printing PDFs and scanning them versus converting them to TIFs (using Peernet). While the conversion procedure is slightly better and often takes a few fewer seconds, the real savings is in printing the files. Maybe our printer is old but printing one page could sometimes take more than 2 minutes a page! Has anyone else experienced this? We have an HP LaserJet 1300 printer which I love and usually prints things right away. Date: Wed, 15 Jan 2014 14:17:46 -0600 You can also use Universal Document Converter to convert your PDF in to a Tif file to be used with SharpEye. I have used it with a screenreader, and it works well. The free trial version has no limitations on its functions, but it will place a watermark on your pages. This shouldn’t affect your work much. It would give you a chance to try it before purchasing something.ShelleyFrom: Dani L PagadorSent: Wednesday, January 15, 2014 12:12 PMTo: goodfeel@freelists.orgSubject: [goodfeel] Reading .pdf Music Scores? Hi, Everyone. I’m taking a music class this semester, and we’re all required to turn our work in as .pdf files. We’re also supposed to comment on each others’ weekly submissions. Is there something I can use to be able to read the .pdfs independently i.e. without having to get help transcribing them so they’re accessible? I have Sibelius 5 as part of my set-up, along with of course, Lime and Goodfeel. Would appreciate any ideas. Thanks, Dani ____________________________________________________________ How to Sleep Like a Rock Obey this one natural trick to fall asleep and stay asleep all night. http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL3131/52ebf9efc47d179ec4f78st02duc
