Dear Regner,
How is this for a model. A plumb line, say 10M long with a lead ball
representing Earth on the end. We then swing the ball in a circular path,
representing the Earth's orbit, that creates an angle subtended at the pivot
of 46 degrees. Does this not explain what we are talking about which is very
different from your diagram?
