I don't want to get into dino DNA discussions except to remark that the ruling 
view is that DNA does not survive millions of years.

  re pyramids -- the outer casing was generally considered to have been 
smoothed from blocks squared on at least four surfaces, and beginning at the 
top, as the workers descended. The pyramid of Cheops -- the most iconic -- 
suffered as a result of an edict from (I think) Suilemann (guess) the 
Magnificent that the pyramid be demolished as he wished to learn its secrets. 
Much of the casing was removed before he realised the magnitude of the task. I 
guess he was not magnificant at arithmetic!
