I think you made the right decision.  A few years ago when there were not
many caches, I did several very long distance caches.  Hindsight being
20/20, that was a mistake as it caused lots of problems.  I am glad they
have cracked down on this.

I also agree with Bernie's comments on needing to find some caches before
you place any.
