Another perhaps more elegant option, which doesn't tie up the MANSW
parameter would be to propagate the bad bits through the CALCA to the
PIDA block.

Code would look something like, assuming that your PIDA MEAS is
connected to RO01 of the CALCA:

a RE RI01
b RE RI02
c RE RI03
d RE RI04
e RE RI05
f OR 5
g BIF j
h SE RO01
i EXIT
j CE RO01
...
Your code
...

The RE Reads the error bit on the inputs and the SE sets the error bit
on the output; the CE clears it.

I assume that your PIDA has CEOPT set to 2. If you set MBADOP to true,
job done!

I would "OR" the bad status bits of all the AIN blocks and connect the
result to the MANSW of PIDA block.

Hmmm....
So my latest problem is like this..
I have 5 ain blocks that feed a calca (RI01-RI05) and get summed and
divided by five. This output is sent to a PIDA as the Meas. The process
eng
wants the block to go to manual if any transmitter goes to a bad status.
I thought I could "OR" the blksta from the ain blocks and send it to the
pida's bad status bit along with mbad in the PIDA. Does anyone know how
to
connect bcalci bad status or have a better solution?
