Subject: Changing historian name in Display Manager Displays
 Source: TAC

Problem:

A typical upgrade scenario from legacy to AIM historian is to use unique
names
for each. The displays will be referring to the legacy historian name and
must
be edited to reflect the new name. With the display manager there was no
known
d_edit command to make these changes in a timely manner.

Solution:

Change directory to the display directory and run the command:

AW5101# d_edit -h/hist01/hist08/ display name.

This display utility command's description was left out of the Display
Reporter
and Connection Editor manual (B0193JN). Now the trend displays will connect
to
hist08 instead of hist01.

Does anyone know of a fast way to change which historian many trends are
set
to?
We have had to change the name of one of our historians and have many many
trends to update to the newly name historian.
We are now at 6.5 using DM's.
