For those interested in wireless control in the plant Panasonic has two =
laptops (Toughbook Models 18 and 21) that are UL approved for Class I, =
Div. 2 Groups B,C,D use. The 18 is tablet size and touch screen and the =
display can be folded around to make it basically a handheld.

That is currently a 'backburner' project for me. I am playing with VNC =
for the connectivity.

There is a company called Ecom Instruments that makes a hardened I.S. =
PDA, (that's important for us). Haven't purchased one yet, I need to =
prove the concept yet.

The thought was to make it read only, and use it for alarming and custom =
paging.
