Alex,
Some users have stuffed the Alarm Priority into the first few characters =
in the alarm text. Most alarm management systems can extract that code =
from the text and Priority becomes a factor in their methodology.
Seems to work fine althought the up-front effort is greater.

The alarm priority is not available in printed messages.
Messages stored in AIM*Historian contain the alarm priority and that can
be used as the alarm data source for some alarm management packages,
e.g., the one that our Alarm Management Services group uses.
