Regarding item 3, "Unix is dead", I hope Invensys realizes that NT is dead as well. I'm surprised that they would even be mentioning NT, as most companies are moving from NT to Windows 2000. I don't have any experience with Windows 2000, but from the NT blue screen of death and lack of any built in utilities in NT, I think Invensys is going to have a hard time selling us on changing from Solaris. Solaris workstations tend to run much longer between reboots and lockups than anything I have seen on NT. Stan M. Ruth, P.E.
